Day 189/Post 65

Well, summer is going by wayyyyy too fast! So, I thought it was time for one of "Mom's Famous Field Trips". Today we went to the Blue Bell Factory in Brenham. Each boy took a friend. So, Mom laid out the ground rules & off we went! The boys seemed to have a good time. Their favorite part ----- the ice cream samples, of course!

This picture is taken in front of one of the original ice cream delivery trucks. Wow! See how some things really change. :)

Today I thought it might be best for a reminder from the past. Here is Clay when he was a Tiger in the Cub Scouts. We visited the Houston Childrens Museum. It was a great day & one I like to remember fondly. Look at that grin. You just can't paint a better memory!

SNAKE! From 2005

When I posted the woodpecker from yesterday it reminded me of this picture I took in 2005. I was on my middle son's school field trip to the Houston Zoo. The snake was just hanging around. This is also taken through glass so it has a little fuzz to it.

I have always wanted to go back and do something with the eyes in Photoshop but never have. Give them an evil red glow or something. Hope you enjoy.

We are off driving to Oklahoma City for Great Grandma’s 85^th surprise birthday party so I am posting another picture of Clay at his field trip yesterday. I should have some new good family photos coming after this weekend. See everyone tomorrow!

Field Trip - Science Museum

Day 38 / P23

Clay's class went to the Natural History & Science Museum today and I got to chaperone. We got to see a cool Imax film called Ocean Oasis. It was on the part of the ocean between Mexico and the Baja peninsula. It was very impressive. We then checked out the rest of the museum. Clay said his favorite part was the rare gem vault. This is a picture of Clay's class outside after lunch just before they got on the bus to go home.
